"Multi Crew Cooperation" and "Airline Pilot Standard Multi Crew Cooperation"
Next Course: October 2024
The two courses allow you to operate as a pilot in multi-crew flights (MCC) and pursue a career as an airline pilot (APS).
The MCC (A) Course
The MCC course allows you to operate as a pilot in multi-crew flight operations within an airline or any type of operation requiring a multi-crew setup.
It is therefore one of the essential requirements requested by airlines and the final step in pilot training.
The MCC course includes 20 hours of training on a simulator.
The APS MCC (A) Course
The MCC APS (Airline Pilot Standard) course is designed to develop all the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to smoothly start a career as an airline pilot.
The additional training provided by the MCC APS is tailored to give students the best opportunity to pass an airline assessment. Recent statistics published by Ryanair show that over 90% of students who completed the APS MCC course succeed in the initial selection.
The APS course includes 40 hours of training on a simulator.
Differences between MCC and APS MCC
- Aeroplane Flight Path Management, Manual Control
- Application of Knowledge
- Application of Regulations and Procedures
- Communication
- Leadership and Teamwork
- Problem-solving and Decision-making
- Situational Awareness (SA) and Information Management
- Workload Management
Requirements for the MCC and APS courses

The simulators and instructors
The lack of experience from instructors in standard MCC and APS MCC courses, as well as the use of simulators that no longer meet market demands, are the main reasons why pilots often fail to pass airline selection processes.
To ensure students receive a high-level standard, Asteraviation has formed an important partnership with Ansett Aviation, a world leader in advanced pilot training on flight simulators.
Thanks to this partnership, Asteraviation MCC and APS MCC courses are delivered to students on the most modern Full Flight Simulators (FFS) for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 at the Milan Malpensa center.
The Asteraviation instructors are highly qualified, with superior training compared to the minimum requirements for an MCCI (A) instructor. They are instructors at airlines with many years of experience in training pilots, captains, and instructors in airline operations.
